What Stillpoint "Nose"

Engelmann Spruce essential oil is a new addtion to Stillpoint Aromatics. We were introduced to Engelmann Spruce essential oil by our artisan distiller. Engelmann Spruce is one of the seven species of spruce indigenous to the United States.

We find that because of its high camphene and delta limonene, Engelmann Spruce essential oil is invaluable in any respiratory blend, whether it be a chest rub, diffuser, or nasal inhaler.  It is wonderful to help boost the immune system as well.

Engelmann Spruce essential oil is excellent for 1st chakra grounding as well as 7th chakra connection.  This is, in part, because of the tree's majestic stature and the high elevation in which it grows.

Engelmann Spruce Essential Oil is very effective as a deodorant especially when combined with Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis) and Pinon Pine (Pinus edilus) essential oils.

Engelmann Spruce essential oil is also very beneficial for muscular aches and pains especially when combined with Black Spruce (Picea marinana)  and Spike Lavander (Lavandula latifolia)

Engelmann spruce is a major component of the high-elevation Rocky Mountain forests, growing in the Rocky Mountains of southwestern Alberta, south through the high mountains of eastern Washington and Oregon, Idaho, and western Montana to western and central Wyoming, and in the high mountains of southern Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, eastern Nevada, New Mexico, and northern Arizona.

Traditional Use

The Engelmann Spruce tree has been traditionally used in the treatment of respiratory complaints, the treatment of tuberculosis, coughs etc. It was said that if the remedy from Engelmann Spruce did not work, nothing would.

Traditionally the ashes of the twigs of the Engelmann Spruce were mixed with oil and used as an ointment to soothe and heal various skin issues. The pitch obtained from the trunk has been used in treating eczema.
