Halloween the abbreviated term for All Hallows’ Eve, is a Holiday that is traditionally celebrated the evening before All Hallows Day otherwise known as All Saints Day. The celebration takes place the day before the Western Christian feast of All Saints. It also is the beginning of Allhallowtide, which lasts three days and concludes with All Souls’ Day. The meaning of this holiday is much more sacred than costumes and pranks and scary movies.
Halloween had its origins in the festival of Samhain among the Ce
lts of ancient Britain and Ireland. This the day that the New Year began and was believed to be the beginning of Winter. This is a day where the veils between the worlds are thin and souls cross these veils. It is believed that he souls of those who had died return to visit their homes, and those who had died during the year journey to the otherworld.
It is a time of endings, beginnings and renewal.
For this year, I have created the All Halllow's Eve kit! This kit will be available until December 1st
- Ghouls be Gone Creme: Essential Oils of Fragonia (Agonis fragrans), Honey Myrtle (Melaleuca teretifolia) and White Sage (Salvia apiana) are synergistically blended in Stillpoint's Unscented Lotion. This blend provides protection, grounding and balance to the emotional and spiritual bodies. The aroma is fresh, clean and uplifting, It also is very effective in assisting with anxiety and the winter blues. Therapeutically it is wonderful for aches and pains and a great respiratory rub during cold and FLU season. The creme is blended at a 3 percent concentration.
- All Hallows Eve 2 Stock Blend: Essential Oils of Black Pepper (Piper nigrum), Tangerine (Citrus reticulata), Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) and Marjoram (Origanum majjorana) are blended together to create this limited edition blend. This stock blend is wonderful in a diffuser, blended in a lotion or any carrier oil or in an inhaler.
Black Pepper (Piper nigrum) - Represents the night-time and darkness of Halloween. It is warming and comfforting and offers protection as black pepper is distilled from the seed. It also hold potential and the energy of new beginings and potential. It is grounding, stabilizing and also centering. Is known to be a Mars (as in warrior) herb that builds protection, strength, confidence and creation. It helps to invoke the influence of Venus to grant ones wishes. Therapeutically it is warming, wonderful for circulation and muscular issues.
Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) - Nostradamus used nutmeg to enhance his visions back in the day. It is expansive for the psyche and assists in tapping into our creation energy. Nutmeg also is known to bring luck, protection and good fortune. Nutmeg is warming and also spicy. It enlivens and also calms the spirit
Marjoram (Origanum majorana) - Assists in calming the spirit and psyche dealing with grief or the after effects of abuse and traumatic occurences both individually and universally. Marjoram offers protective energetic qualities o help remain grounded and centered. She also protects against bad luck and negative energies. She helps us build up our reserve and find our own power.
Tangerine (Citrus reticulata)- Assists in connecting one with the innocence and purity of looking at life through the eyes of the child. It represents softness, joy and sunshine. This essential oil is extracted from the rind, offereng protections and carries the energy of lightness and trust and vulnerability. This is a wonderful oil to turn to when we want to start a new. The organge color is representative for the orange in Halloween and also the energy of the sun aand a new day!
