Frankincense carterii Resin (Organic)
Boswellia carteri

This is an exquisite organic frankincense resin. It is of the highest quality and has an elegant soft scent when burned. It is uplifting, comforting, cleansing and offers energetic protection. The Boswellia carterii resin is a bit softer than the frereana, but just as powerful. Both are absolutely beautiful though and they are wonderful combined together. Frankincense is one of the most sacred resins dating all the way back to biblical times. Frankincense has been used for centuries for purification and protection. Frankincense is burned to help cleanse and protect. It is also used similarly to white sage, to drive out negativity. Frankincense resin has also been burned to induce visions and aid in meditation.
Frankincense resin begins as a milky-white sticky liquid that flows from the trunk of the tree when it's injured. The purpose of the resin is to heal the tree. Frankincense resin flows when a tool called a mengaff is used to scrape about a five-inch section down the trunk of tree. It is after the tree is scraped, a milky white juice begins to flow. This white juice hardens into yellow "tears" when exposed to the air. That specific tree is then marked and the harvester returns to scrape and collect the hardened frankincense resin from the tree. The large, clear globules are scraped off into baskets and the inferior quality that has run down the tree is collected separately.
Way back in biblical times, both the resins of Frankincense and Myrrh were highly treasured.
Boswellia carterii is one of the resin with the highest amount of boswellic acid in it. The resin can be infused in water to make a tonic for digestive issues such as bloating, cramping and gas. This resin water can also be used as a face wash for cleansing according to one of my distillers. Boswellic acid has ben shown to fight inflammatory diseases like asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, atopic dermatitis, Crohn’s disease and a variety of cancers.
Please note that Boswellic Acid is not present in the Essential Oil
About Stillpoint Resins: Did you know that even resins are prone to adulteration? Yes, they can be!!! The way resins are adulterated is by the addition of plastic! Here at Stillpoint we only source the purest resins available that are ethically harvested or wild harvested. When a resin s wild harvested that means the resin has not been manually removed from the tree, but has fallen off after a wild animal has brushed up agains the tree. Our resins organic and or wild harvested and are of the highest vibration.
How to Burn Resins: Light the charcoal with matches or lighter for about 20 seconds until it self-ignites. Use tongs to hold it up (never hold it with your fingers alone or you might get burned). Place the lit charcoal in a bowl or any incense burner. The bowl or incense burner should be filled with sand or dirt. Let the charcoal warm for a few minutes. (It turns gray around the edges when it is ready) Now you are ready! Add a small amount of resin on top of the charcoal. The resin will burn and soon release essential, aromatic oils through the smoke. Continue to place resins or powder on charcoal as they burn out and smoke decreases for a continuous burn
