Frankincense Papyrifera Wild Harvested Resin
Boswellia papyrifera

This is yet an another exquisite organic frankincense resin. It is of the highest quality and has a wonderful aroma, lemoy pine like as weill as anxiety reducing properties when burned. It is uplifting, comforting, cleansing and offers energetic protection.
Boswellia papyrifera resin comes from Ethiopia. This resin is quite different form the other frankincense species as it has a large amount of octyl acetate and octanol, as well as incensole and incensole aacetate. IT has been found that incensole acetate can have an effect on the Central Nervouse System (CNS) and has psycho active properties (simililary to esential oils that have a high amount of Ethers). It is becasue of these psychoactive properties that burning it helps to reduce depression and annxiety.
Frankincense resin begins as a sticky liquid that flows from the trunk of the tree when it's injured. The purpose of the resin is to heal the tree. Frankincense resin flows when a tool called a mengaff is used to scrape about a five-inch section down the trunk of tree. It is after the tree is scraped, a milky white juice begins to flow. This sap or "juice" hardens into "tears" when exposed to the air. That specific tree is then marked and the harvester returns to scrape and collect the hardened frankincense resin from the tree. The large, globules are scraped off into baskets and the inferior quality that has run down the tree is collected separately. This resin is Wild Harvested - which means that it is collected only after an animal brushes up the tree the resins fall off.
This particular resin is from the Boswellia pa[yifera tree and is found growing in Ethipia, There are may different Frankincense species, but in our opinion, the papyfera species is the premier choice to assist with anxiety and depression due to its compnents.
This resin is the perfect choice when making topical healing remedies and products like salves, cremes, oils, and certain tinctures. It great for mature skin and wrinkles in a facial cream or oil. It is one of the best choices for rubs for the muskulo skeletal system. Boswelia papyifera is nuero protective, anti infammatory

About Stillpoint Resins: Did you know that even resins are prone to adulteration? Yes, they can be!!! The way resins are adulterated is by the addition of plastic! Here at Stillpoint we only source the purest resins available that are ethically harvested or wild harvested. When a resin is wild harvested that means the resin has not been manually removed from the tree, but has fallen off after a wild animal has brushed up against the tree. Our resins are organic and/or wild harvested and are of the highest vibration.
How to Burn Resins: Light the charcoal with matches or lighter for about 20 seconds until it self-ignites. Use tongs to hold it up (never hold it with your fingers alone or you might get burned). Place the lit charcoal in a bowl or any incense burner. The bowl or incense burner should be filled with sand or dirt. Let the charcoal warm for a few minutes. (It turns gray around the edges when it is ready) Now you are ready! Add a small amount of resin on top of the charcoal. The resin will burn and soon release essential, aromatic oils through the smoke. Continue to place resins or powder on charcoal as they burn out and smoke decreases for a continuous burn.
