Pinus pinaster is an evergreen Tree growing to aboiut 65 feet by 23 feet. It is also a really fast grower. The flowers are monoecious (individual flowers are either male or female, but both sexes can be found on the same plant) and are pollinated by Wind. The plant is not self-fertile. Maritime Pine tree is also known as Sea Pine. It is found growing in the Mediterranean coastal areas in Europe. In North Africa it is found in Malta, Monaco, Morocco, Algeria, and the Atlas mountains of Northwest Africa, and has been introduced to those areas of South Africa with a Mediterranean climate.
